Free Bradley Manning

Project Date:
Tue, July 30, 2013
Location:
Bradley Manning march
Q Street at 19th
Washington , DC

On Tuesday afternoon we were saddened but not surprised to hear about Bradley Manning's conviction for blowing the whistle on war crimes and diplomatic corruption. We projected these messages in support of the march to the White House held that evening by the Mid-Atlantic Bradley Manning Support Network in Washington, DC.

Manning was found not guilty of aiding and abetting the enemy, though he was found guilty of violating the Espionage Act. The night of the rally was the night before his sentencing was to be announced.

Justice for Trayvon and Beyond

Project Date:
Sun, July 14, 2013
Location:
The Eastern District Court House Building
Harford Road at North Avenue
Baltimore , MD

On the Sunday night following the Trayvon Martin ruling, Luminous Intervention brought the message of Justice for Trayvon and Beyond to the Eastside District Court building on the corner of Harford and North Avenue, to highlight systematic injustices and abuses against African Americans, and to help spread the word about Monday's Trayvon rally, held by the Baltimore People's Power Assembly at McKeldin Square.

African Americans are likely to spend as much time in prison for drug offense as whites do for a violent offense. ...see more about Justice for Trayvon and Beyond
