Every year corporations steal nearly $100 Billion in public funds through the use of tax loopholes and offshore accounts. On April 10th, Luminous Intervention took part in a nationwide effort to spread awareness about these corporate tax evaders. We teamed up with activist groups and grassroots organizations all over the country to bring the Tax Evaders video game to Fells Point! Passersby were encouraged to participate in our interactive, realtime version of the Tax Evaders game, which was projected on to the wall of a local Bank of America branch.  ...see more about Tax Evaders

#Camp83 Pop-up

During rush hour on March 8th Luminous Intervention did a popup projection on a transit bridge that crosses highway 83, visible to Northbound traffic. The projection was in support of the homeless encampment knows as Camp 83, which was  located below a downtown overpass, and which had been a long-term home for those who had found no room at the City's homeless shelter, or had resented the enforced curfew hours and rules there. ...see more about #Camp83 Pop-up

Armed Drones: JHU Research at Work

The JHU Human Rights Working Group (HRWG) and Baltimore artists-activists Luminous Intervention teamed up to put drones on the agenda during Gen. Stanley McChrystal's campus talk.

Audience members for General Stanley McChrystal's Foreign Affairs Symposium talk were greeted with an art installation illustrating that drones are illegal, wrong and reckless. The event was part of the Human Rights Working Group's ongoing campaign to raise awareness about Johns Hopkins' connection to drone warfare.
