UMD Pop-Up

Project Date:
Thursday, August 16, 2012 - 8:00pm to 10:00pm
Location:
MLK Blvd
MLK Blvd
Baltimore, MD 21201

In order to practice for future projections, we decided to go down to MLK Blvd to project a number of messages onto a few buildings down there for passerby. We built simple custom software that would allow us to smoothly switch from message to message; the messages ranged from serious to insightful to silly.

Fair DevelopmentmeansLocal Hiring
THERE ARE MORE OF US THAN YOU THINK
    CONSCIENCE STRUGGLE PRINCIPLE
There are 16,000 Vacant Homes in Baltimore
Beat back the Baltimore Development Corporation.
    Fair Development means Workforce Training
    INCITE INSIGHT
WEALTH:can you feel it trickling down?
Let wealth trickle up for a change.
Equality might mean giving something up.
Honk if you can't afford a car.
    We can do better.
    Tax those who have more.
    AWAKE! AWAKE! AWAKE!
Stephanie Rawlings-Blake: For a Baltimore without rec centers.
    Cash rules everything around me.
    Make room for us
There's no justice, there's JUST US.
    Who does Baltimore belong to?
    Who farted? SRB farted.
Who needs job development? I WANT CAR RACES!

Stay tuned for some images and perhaps video.
